On December 8, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a presentation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s book “The Spiritual World of the Turkmen”, published in the Azerbaijani language.
The solemn event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan as part of the International Exhibition taking place in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in honor of the 25th anniversary of the country’s neutrality.
Among those attending the presentation were senior officials and representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan, public organizations, the mass media, teaching staff and students of higher education institutions. Distinguished scientists and media representatives of Azerbaijan joined the event via videoconferencing.
Speakers highlighted the overriding importance of the massive efforts ongoing under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to study and widely popularize the cultural heritage of the Turkmen nation that has made an invaluable contribution to the development of global civilization.
Universal humanistic principles embodied in the traditions of the Turkmen have a considerable appeal for other nations. This explains the great interest evinced in richly diverse literary works authored by the head of Turkmenistan.
Published in September of 2020, “The Spiritual World of the Turkmen” has been translated into the Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Georgian, and Ukrainian languages over the last few months. The edition in Azerbaijani is the latest addition to the list.
