Opening of big facilities of medical sphere, which have been added to the health protection infrastructure of our country were opened on October 10, the Day of Health Protection and Medical Industry Personnel.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the ceremonies timed to remarkable date. In the morning, the Head of the State has come to the place on Bikrovinskaya Street where the buildings of International Burn Center, which construction has started in March 2018, were built.
The Speaker of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of ministries, departments, military and law enforcement structures, mass media, the Head of the capital’s administration have gathered in this place. Doctors, professors from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other countries, numerous personnel of health protection sphere who celebrated their professional holiday were among the participants.
Having addressed the participants with greeting speech, the Head of the State noted that the Day of Health Protection and Medical Industry Personnel is observed for the first time according to new calendar of remarkable dates and congratulated all specialists and employees of this sphere on this excellent holiday.
Today, we open two medical facility, which have been built in the capital, International Burn and Aesthetical Centers, - the Head of the State said.
Modern five-story building of Burn Complex, which has been built by Turkish Gap Inşaat, is designated for 130 patients from which 20 places are for children, 80 for adults and 30 in the department of plastic and rehabilitation surgery and intensive care.
The structure of the Center includes reception with ambulance service, consultative and diagnostic departments, laboratory, rehabilitation department, endoscopy, disinfection and in-patient treatment departments. It has decompression chambers, which allow providing treatment of six patients simultaneously. It will give opportunity to the doctors to provide medical assistance to people with burning injuries.
The Berzengi healing water, about which healing properties President Gurbanguly Bedimuhamedov regularly mention in his books, will be used in the balneology department. The center also has four surgery rooms, intensive care rooms and other premises.
In general, specialized equipment provided in this place will support to rapid recovery of patients.
The Aesthetic Center also has all necessary conditions for provision of qualitative cosmetology services to the citizens in all directions of beauty and aesthetic. It has medical and specialized equipment based on innovative technologies from the leading companies of the world.
The Center will also provide consultations to the citizens, organize training courses in general directions of aesthetic medicine, seminars with participation of local and foreign specialists, classes for improvement of qualification of personnel of this direction.
The Head of the State has also noted that new Aesthetic Center has been built by the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, which brightly indicates comprehensive support provided by the government to private entrepreneurs.
Further, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in German language expressed sincere gratitude to all doctors and specialists who have come from Germany for big contribution to development of health protection sphere of Turkmenistan and confirmed the commitment to further consolidation of fruitful cooperation.
Continuing the ceremony, the Head of the State has also greeted famous scientist and doctor from Germany Ulrich Schaller, the Doctor of Munich Duke Carl Theodor Ophthalmology Clinic and has given floor to him for the speech.
First of all, the guest has expressed gratitude to Turkmen leader for the opportunity to take part in the opening ceremony of new medical facilities in Ashgabat and conveyed congratulations and best wishes from his colleagues in Germany, who were not able to come to the event due to the pandemic.
Having noted that this is not the first time for him to participate in the opening of medical centers in Turkmenistan, the doctor highlighted that each of the centers is distinguished with expressive architecture.
According to the order of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, personnel of new centers receive special training.This time, Turkmen German cooperation in medical sphere has again demonstrated its efficiency, Ulrich Schaller said.
This close partnership is continued through 20 years and supports stable development on various fields of Turkmen medicine. German doctor has also noted that the medicine is an excellent reason to consolidate people, therefore, Turkmen and German colleagues not just work together but also made friends with each other.
The guest has highly appreciated the policy of the President of Turkmenistan, who is also a doctor, in health protection sphere, to which special attention is paid in our country on the highest level in different directions. Thus, new Centers will be a part of developed system of provision of professional medical care.
Permanent investments to education and professional training of specialists are very important and Turkmen German cooperation in this sphere would be successfully developed, Mr. Schaller expressed confidence and wished strong health to everyone.

Under loud applauses of the participants of the ceremony, the President of Turkmenistan has cut symbolical ribbon and entered the building, having started looking around the Center in details.
A doctor has explained to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov about the structure of International Burn Center in Turkmen capital. The Center includes ambulance service, reception, consulting and diagnostic, laboratory and balneology departments, which will provide treatment using Berzengi healing water, rehabilitation, endoscopic, disinfection, decompression chamber and other departments.
Separate building is designated for in-patient treatment including children section for 20 patients and adult section 80 patients; it also includes plastic and rehabilitation surgery department for 20 patients and intensive care department for 10 patients.
The ambulance department will provide first medical aid and will make diagnosis using modern and reliable medical hardware.
The department is equipped with defibrillators, respirator units, laryngoscope for intubation, portable ultrasonic units, ECG unit, portable x-ray unit, glucometer and other diagnostic equipment, which meet high European standards as well as provided with medicines, dressing and disinfecting materials.
Portable devices installed in immediate care room of the department allow making inspection of patients, which are required to be limited in movement due to their sever condition. Patients with severe burns are operated in rapid mode for removal and cleaning of burnt parts. Further, the treatment undergoes in relevant departments of the Center.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to intensive therapy room on the first floor, where he inspected last generation medical equipment. The doctor has told about respirator unit, cardio meters, defibrillators, multi-filters, infusion pumps and other units available in the department.
Intensive care rooms are equipped with devices with the function of automatic support of humidity and temperature, which is one of the necessary conditions for treatment of patients with burns and give them opportunity to recover from shock and to be stabilized after burns.
After, Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has looked around decompression chamber department. Continuing the tour around the building, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has visited balneology department. Hydro therapy, which makes positive effect on tissue regeneration during treatment of patients with burns, plays special role in the department.
For this purpose, the unit with 20 ton tank has been installed in the department for storage of water from Berzengi healing spring. Special tubs, which equipped with lifting and lowering mechanisms for patients, are used for rinsing and cleaning of burn wounds of patients. It is also enhances epithelization of non-healing burn wounds.
Further, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to rehabilitation room of physiotherapy department where he inspected its provision with equipment. The doctor has informed the President that this department is provided with specialized equipment for the exercises made using mechanical movement as well as with electrical rehabilitation equipment.
The structure of the Center also includes a laboratory, which conducts general clinical, biochemical, serological, bacteriological and other analyses and tests. For this purpose, the department has world class equipment, which allows processing of big number of analyses for a short period.
Surgery department of the first floor of the center has four surgery rooms for making operation for necrectomiy, necrotomy, exarticulation, autodermoplasty, joints’ reconstruction, plastic surgery on high professional level. At the same time, the provision of the department allows making several operations simultaneously including neurosurgical and other operation in addition to the mentioned above.
One- and two-bed rooms in the complex of in-patient department of the Center have all necessary conditions for the patients starting from the oxygen system, duty nurse call point, functional beds to TVs, fridges, climate control systems and other amenities.
Children section of in-patient treatment department is provided with special equipment, which not only meets modern medical requirements but also requirements related to this age category.
International Burn Center also accommodates the branch of Myrat Garriyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan, where professors and tutors will make consultations to patients, hold consultative discussions and training qualified specialists and raise their competence level.
After inspection of certain departments of the Centre, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to the conference hall where foreign and Turkmen medical specialists and other participants of the ceremony have already gathered.
Addressing the participants, the Head of the State said that doctors from Germany participate in current events and gave floor to representative of Federal Burn Association of Germany, Doctor Cedrick Bosch.
Having congratulated the participants on professional holiday of medical personnel and wished Turkmen colleagues big success, the guest expressed delight with the expansion of changes, which happens in the country under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan as well as with high technological level of modern health protection facilities. International Burn Center is a good example of this.
In this regard, he announced about award of the Burn Center with distinguishing marks from German Burn Association and handed over the Certificate of the best Burn Center in the region that uses creative technologies and relative badge.
The Center has received this award as a profile clinic specialized in innovative treatment methods and meeting European standards, Mr. Bosch said and that he is looking forward for active cooperation with Turkmen specialists in the sphere of burn medical aid.
Having expressed gratitude to the guest for high appraisal of International Burn Center, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave floor to Senior Teacher of Swiss Federal Technological Institute of Zurich, Doctor Athilla Dincher.
Introduction and wide implementation of high technology medical equipment allows health protection of Turkmenistan making colossal steps forward and receiving maximum effect in treatment and rehabilitation of patients, Mr. Dincher said, having noted that on another hand, opening of such facility is the investment of health protection in the scale of entire region.
Having congratulated all who participated in construction of International Burn Center in Ashgabat as well as Turkmen specialist combustiologists on the opening of advanced facility, Mr.Dincher handed over the Certificate and relative badge, which the Center was awarded with for high technologies and innovations from Swiss Federal Technological Institute.
Having expressed gratitude for prestige award, the Head of the State noted that new International Burn Center would provide rapid and qualitative assistance to people developing and applying the best world practice.
In the end, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made memorial entry in the Book of Honored Guests and presented emergency and other vehicles to new facilities as a gift. Saying goodbye, the Head of the State wished big success in work to the team of the Center.
After, the President went to the next new facility, which was to be opened, the Aesthetic Center. New facility has been built in the southern part of Ashgabat where big complex of modern medical facilities of various profile has been formed up.
The Head of the State has studied in details the structure of new medical facility, which activity is targeted to provision of qualitative cosmetology, treatment and preventive medical assistance to the population including all types of services that forms health and beauty of people.
At the same time, joint work of various specialists and their close cooperation are the main priorities.
The structure of the complex includes departments of medical and aesthetic cosmetology, body correction, health improving, chiropody and ingrown nails. It also has beauty parlor, which goal is to provide full spectrum of required cosmetology services, and training and education center.
The Center has multimedia training room, specialized shop and pharmacy. Cozy cafeteria will provide additional comfort to the visitors.
Looking around the Center, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has visited aesthetic cosmetology department. The Head of the State was greeted by medical specialist who introduced technical provision and the main aspect of work of the department.
The activity of the Center includes various modern and classic programs of care of face and body, wide range of procedures and technologies aimed at support of beauty and youth of human organism.
After, the Head of the State went to body correction department where the specialists has introduced the President with provision and specific of activity of the department, which is aimed at integrated and at the same time individual approach to every patient including selection of dieting and weight loss taking into account endocrine status.
During the tour around the department, the Head of the State continued the conversation with foreign guests including with German medics who highlighted the uniqueness of the equipment and its wise and scientifically based selection.
One of the guests said that he would like to work using excellent equipment that Turkmen colleagues have. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted Turkmenistan is always open for fruitful and beneficial exchange of practice.
Continuing looking around the Center, the president went to chiropody and ingrown nails department, having expressed detailed interest in its provision and directions of work.
Such structure, which goal is to prevent, detect and treat various pathologies of feet and nails caused by trauma, endocrine, surgical, vascular, dermatological, orthopedic malfunctions and other reasons or related diseases, has been established for the first time in our country.
Continuing conversation with foreign specialists about priority directions of development of modern medicine, the President of Turkmenistan noted that the above-mentioned medical diplomacy, which is to support activation of fruitful international cooperation and exchange of practice in this sphere, receives special currency these days.
After, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has visited the department of medical cosmetology. The specialists introduced the work of this department, which is based on diagnostic of various dermatological and cosmetology disease, procedures and manipulations, during which the integrity of skin and mucous membranes has been disrupted, to the Head of the State.
These methods includes various injections, use of laser and other complicated technologies, minimal invasive surgery and many other methods. Number of procedures requires minimum rehabilitation period or complete absence of it, which is very convenient for socially active citizens.

There is no analogues to such center in the region.
Continuing the subject, the Prtesident of the country noted that new Center has been conferred with several prestige international awards, for handing over of which medics from Europe and representatives of prestige universities have come.
In this regard, the Head of the State gave floor to the Head of Austrian Union of Aesthetic Medicine, Doctor of Medicine, Professor Manfred Rutzler.
Having expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in current events, the guest has cordially congratulated the Head of the State and all Turkmenistan citizens on the opening of new unique facility, which is to support the development of such required direction as aesthetic medicine in the country.
The guest has handed over the Certificate of Quality and Excellence and relative badge to the Aesthetic Centre.
Further, the floor was given to teacher of Lucerne University, Switzerland Mr Bernd Reynhold Rozin.
Having expressed the delight with new specialized medical facility, which is distinguished with its super modern provision, eco-friendliness, original architecture, the guest presented the Certificate for Unique Design and relative badge to the Aesthetic Center.
Further, General Director of MS Aesthetics Clinics, Doctor Tilman Stash made a speech and also noted the importance of current event and presented the Certificate of the Best Aesthetic Centre and relative badge to the Aesthetic Center.
Addressing foreign specialists, the Head of the State expressed gratitude to them for good words about our country as well as for awards.
The President has noted that the fact that Aesthetic Center has been awarded by the Austrian Society of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, Lucerne University and EmSi Aesthetic Clinics indicates the recognition of achievements of national health protection on international level.
Provision of quality and affordable medical services is one of the main objectives of the government policy of Turkmenistan and work for modernization of this sphere would be continued, the President continued.
After the ceremony, the Head of the State has left the entry in the Book of Honored Guests and presented keys from new specialized vehicles to the Aesthetic Center.
Having said warm goodbye to the participants of the event and wished national medical personnel success in their responsible and noble affairs, the President of Turkmenistan left the place of event.
On the same day, opening ceremony of indoor multilevel parking, which is located next to the Aesthetic Center, was held in the southern part of Ashgabat.
New parking for 240 vehicles meets international standards and complies with modern requirements by its functionality and provision. It has all conditions for convenience of drivers including car wash and service center.
