A citizen of the United Arab Emirates became the captain of an aircraft for the first time

A 33-years old Aisha Al Mansuri became the first female captain of the aircraft in the history of the United Arab Emirates. She will operate passenger airliners of Etihad Airlines, reports russianemirates.com. Aisha Al Mansuri has more than 6000 flying hours and 15 years of work in aviation.

It is noted that Aisha is the sister of Major Mariam Al Mansuri, the first woman in the UAE, who became a fighter pilot. Moreover, Aisha Al Mansuri become the first UAE citizen to sit at the helm of the largest passenger liner in the world - the A380. And as a captain, she will pilot an Airbus A320.
