A meeting to reduce the risks and threats to youth, caused by the global pandemic was held in Turkmenistan

Representatives of minister and departments, hyakimliks of the regions and the city of Ashgabat, public organizations of Turkmenistan, and employees of UN agencies met to discuss issues of raising awareness and involvement of young people to mitigate the multidimensional risks and threats associated with the global pandemic.

As reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, the meeting was held within the framework of the meeting of the Technical Committee of the Joint Program of the Government of Turkmenistan and the UN.

International expert Shahrbanou Tadjbakhsh presented to the participants the world experience in this field.

Members of the Technical group discussed the issue of support for public initiatives from the authorities, which plays an important role in the implementation of the program.

The joint program of the Government of Turkmenistan and the UN is aimed at strengthening the capacity of government officials at the local level, and the implementation of the Socio-Economic Response Plan, taking into account ensuring human security.

The program will also help strengthen the contribution of youth in certain regions to the development of local communities, informs the source.
