A modern approach to agriculture: theory, practice and marketing

The project Development of agriculture was commissioned more than a year ago at the initiative of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. Based on the contract between Ter Önüm Economic Society and Turkmen agricultural university, the project very soon began to yield results.

The goal of the project is free consultations and exchange of experience in agriculture, making radical restructurings into agricultural industry, and also combination of practice with theory, and advertising in the world of domestic unique products.

As founder of Ter Önüm Economic Society Dovletgeldi Ballyev told, within the limits of the program weekly meetings with workers of the agrarian sector are held by businessmen and farmers, teachers and students of the agricultural university.

Agriculture is the major sector of economy of our country, and one of those where constant growth on a number of economic indicators is observed. And business, irrespective of their form of ownership, plays an important role in its development. Here we also have decided to unite science with practice, tells Dovletgeldi.

Discussions are held every week on the most different vital topics: weather conditions, soil problems, productivity increase, economy of water, production of import replacing non-polluting products and others.

At each participant here has his own role, continues Ballyev. For example, professors, teachers and students acquaint with theoretical questions, farmers impart experience, and businessmen solve marketing issues. Any interested persons can join us. Audience expansion will be useful for everything, after all, each gardener his own point of view, experience, and science has its directions.

As the businessman marks, modern agriculture is at a transformation stage the demand for the foodstuffs grows and at the same time well-being of people increases. It puts forward problems of increase of labour productivity, high yield and for their solution it is necessary to use innovative technologies.

Possibility of online discussions considerably expands a circle of speakers and listeners, and also raises mobility of participants. Therefore, organizers plan to hold further similar scientific meetings with other regions of the country in a video-format.
