A loop resembling a ribbon with national ornaments was installed around its neck.It appears that the designers tried to copy a ribbon depicted in the logo of the V Asian Games.
However, the sculpture looked quite weird.
In February 2017 President Berdymukhammedov controlled the construction of the stadium. It appears that the President did not like the loop and gave instructions to put a national protective amulet aladja around the neck of the horse.
The previous decoration was dismantled in late March 2017.
This is not the first case when designers have to make corrections in the projects, which had previously been approved and completed.The mascot of the Asian Games, alabai (shepherd dog), had been totally changed.
Despite the fact that the previous image was approved by the President in January, in late March the head of the state changed his mind and demanded that the mascon be urgently remade. The new design was presented a week later.
After that the customs destroyed a batch of souvenir products with the previous symbols for the amount of over $200,000.
In January 2017 a new monument installed in one of the circular road junctions, which had been built a month before the installation works, was dismantled in Ashgabat.
In February 2016 the entire bridge located along the road from the VIP terminal of the new airport building, which had been festively opened two months before, was completely remodeled.
