The educational process in Ashgabat higher educational institutions is organized in two shifts. Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that Ashgabat-based students study in the first half of the day whereas students residing in dormitories attend classes in the second shift.
According to Turkmen infectious disease specialists, dormitories might be a hotbed of infectious diseases.Taking into account their opinion in November, upon return of students from provinces Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Education made a decision on separate the academic process for senior students in universities.
Moreover, control over students residing in dormitories has been tightened. They are allowed to leave the dormitory to attend classes, participate in official events and purchase groceries and other essential goods.
Such rules have been introduced in a dormitory of the Engineering and Technological University named after Oghuz Khan.
As has been previously reported, on 11 December, 2020 three third-year students of Turkmenistan’s State Institute of Culture with high temperature were taken from the dormitory to hospital.
Following this incident all students residing in the dormitory were obliged to get tested for COVID-19.The post Ashgabat authorities tighten control over students residing in dormitories first appeared on Chronicles of Turkmenistan.
