President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a visit to the park “Ashgabat” opened in Tashkent on 28 October.
Gazeta.uz reports that the park which occupies the area of 10 hectares, is the home to eight fountains, flower gardens, trees, race track and bicycle lanes running along the perimeter and a bicycle rental shop.
The amphitheater for concert is designed in the form of a bird and is the replica of the international airport “Ashgabat”.
Let us recall that on 1 May, during the celebration of the Day of Constitution and the Day of Revival, Unit and Magtymguly Pyragy’s poetry in Turkmenistan, the bas-relief to the renowned Turkmen poet and thinker, installed on the street named after him, was opened in the capital of Uzbekistan.
During Mirziyoyev’s first visit to Turkmenistan on 6-7 March 2017, the monument to the first President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov was opened in Turkmenabat.
