During the first two months, transit of Turkmen oil through Russia exceeds 320 thousand tons

In January-February 2021, Turkmenistan has transited 320.46 thousand tons of oil through the oil pipeline system of the Russian Federation (240.66 thousand tons of Turkmen oil has been exported in transit in February alone). Interfax reported citing the Central Dispatching Department of Fuel Energy Complex.

Turkmenistan ranks second in the export of oil in transit through Russia, second only to Kazakhstan, which exported 2.14 million tons in January-February 2021 period (in February 1.1 million tons).

The message emphasizes that the exports of Russian oil to non-CIS countries decreased significantly.So, in January-February 2021, the export of the Russian Federation to non-CIS countries amounted 32.83 million tons of oil, which is 21.6% less compared to the same period last 2020.

At the same time, during the period, Russian oil companies increased oil supplies to CIS countries by 232.7% up to 2.36 million tons.
