Export Trades at Turkmen Exchange For April 18-23: $17.65 Million

The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $17.65 million.

For foreign currency, the Russian and Turkish businesses purchased polypropylene produced at Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, while the companies from the UK, Turkey, Afghanistan and Georgia bought ECO-93 gasoline of Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Monday.

The businesses from the UAE, Turkey and Kyrgyzstan purchased terry products, licorice root and cotton yarn for foreign currency.

For the domestic market, local businesses purchased motor oil of Turkmenbashi refinery, polypropylene and HDPE of Türkmenhimiýa SC, and hand-made carpets for more than 37.5 million manats.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 53 transactions last week.
