Foreign Leaders Congratulate Turkmen President on New Year

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received New Year congratulations from the Presidents of Russia, China, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Germany and Poland, Prime Minister of Japan and King of Norway. The official Turkmen media published the congratulations on Friday.

The foreign leaders wished Serdar Berdimuhamedov happy New Year and to the Turkmen people peace, further progress and prosperity.

In his congratulatory message, the Russian Leader said, “The past year has been very successful for relations between our countries. The Declaration on the Deepening Strategic Partnership signed during your official visit created conditions for a qualitative increase in Russia-Turkmenistan relations in key areas.”

Putin stated that he looks forward to continuing constructive joint work on a bilateral basis, within the CIS and the UN, as well as in the Central Asia+Russia and Caspian Five formats.

The Armenian President in his New Year congratulatory message to Serdar Berdimuhamedov said, “I am confident that in 2023, through joint efforts, we will be able to raise the historically close relations between Armenia and Turkmenistan to a qualitatively new level for the benefit of our friendly peoples.”

The Russian President Vladimir Putin also sent a congratulatory message to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty chamber of the Turkmenistan’s bicameral parliament Milli Gengesh, on the occasion of New Year.
