Three more German doctors have received the title of honorary professor of Turkmen state medical university named after Myrat Garryev. The ceremony of celebration of German experts was held on Saturday in the Ashkhabad International centre of endocrinology and surgery where a number of experts from Germany hold these days the training for their young Turkmen colleagues.
The rector of the higher medical school of Turkmenistan read the decision of the presidium of HAC on assignment of the scientific degree of honorary professor of TSMU for the personal contribution to cooperation in development between two countries to surgeons-orthopaedists of Munich clinic Großhadern Volkmar Jansson and Matthias Pietschmann, and also stomatologist-implantologist Gunther Dom.
I am glad to be today here and to receive such honorary title, Volkmar Jansson said. I want to note that last years between our countries cooperation in various directions of medicine which year from year becomes more and more wide in bilateral relations, has become stronger.
In turn Dr. Pietschmann wished the parties the further deepening of cooperation and partner contacts between the medical centres and higher schools of Turkmenistan and FRG.
Gunther Dom noted that about 10 years he has exchanged experience with Turkmen colleagues and is glad to share skills and knowledge, enriching his own skill as well. He compared development of Turkmen medicine with the fast growth of a tree to which a good care and constant attention is given.
The next working visit of a group of German doctors to Ashkhabad is held in frameworks of program interaction between medical branches of Turkmenistan and FRG.
