By the results of 2020 through the gas pipeline from Central Asia to China more than 39 billion cubic metres of natural gas were delivered as Oil Company PipeChina West Pipeline informs, specifying that in January, 2021 through this gas pipeline to the Heavenly Empire 3, 87 billion cubic metres of natural gas were delivered.
In January, 2021 the maximum daily volume of deliveries of gas reached 153 million cubic metres. Thus, the designed capacity of the pipeline makes up 60 billion cubic metres.
According to the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, import of natural gas through the given gas pipeline makes more than 15 % from all gas consumed by the state for a year.
The gas pipeline China -Central Asia originates in Turkmenistan passes through the territory of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan where it is connected with the Chinese West-East Gas Pipeline.
Turkmenistan is the leader of deliveries of pipeline gas to the market of the People’s Republic of China.
