Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that since 13 September meat has been sold at state-established prices in Ashgabat.
It appears that this is how the President’s instruction on providing residents with groceries ahead of the celebrations of the Independence anniversary is being implemented.
Butcher’s shops have been opened in the closed markets.At “Mir” and “Azatlyk” bazaars lamb is sold in the morning until lunch time and beef is available in the afternoon.
A kilo of seat is sold at 35 manats with a limit of two kilos per customer.The market price for beef is 77 manats per kilo whereas fillet of beet costs 100 manats.
