Kazakhstan intends to increase supplies of flour and other agricultural products to Turkmenistan

Kazakhstan is ready to increase supplies of its own agricultural products to Turkmenistan for a total amount of more than 130 million US dollars for 60 commodity items, including flour and wheat.

This was stated by Kasym-Jomart Tokayev during negotiations in Ashgabat with President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in an expanded format, the official website of the President of Kazakhstan reports.

According to Tokayev, after a slight decrease in bilateral trade against the background of a global pandemic, in the first 8 months of this year, there is an increase in trade between the two countries by more than 30%.

The President of Kazakhstan did not give specific figures, however, he noted that “this is not the limit of the possibilities” of the two countries.

Let us remind you that the head of Kazakhstan is on a two-day state visit to Turkmenistan. On the eve, Tokayev and Berdimuhamedov visited the Ahalteke equestrian complex of the President of Turkmenistan, where the Ahalteke horse and the puppy tazy were presented to the Kazakh leader.
