Kyrgyz, Emirati Businesses Buy Cotton Yarn Through Turkmen Commodity Exchange

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) registered five deals on the purchase of cotton yarn during Monday and Tuesday trades.

On Monday, the companies from the UAE and Kyrgyzstan made four deals for $471.5 thousand and 1.5 million manats for the purchase of the yarn of different varieties produced at enterprises of Textile Industry Ministry of Turkmenistan, the SCRMET said in its press release.

During the Tuesday trades, the Kyrgyz business bought 80 thousand kilograms of raw cotton yarn for $192 thousand ($2.4 per kg).

Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded $13.5 million.
