On January 14, 2021, a video meeting of the working group of the Border Interaction Component of the Sub-programme 1 of the UNODC Program for the States of Central Asian took place.
The meeting was attended by the national representatives of the UNODC Program in Turkmenistan Mr.Ch.Ataev, Ms.Y.Demchuk and in Uzbekistan Mr.Y.Kurbonov, representatives of the State Customs, Migration, Border Services, as well as the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the implementation of the component of the UNODC program on strengthening cross-border cooperation in Turkmenistan was discussed, the results of activities for 2020 were summed up, and the action plan of the revised work plan for 2021 was discussed.
The aspects of creating a specialized interactive classroom at the checkpoint, as well as conducting a series of analytical and other trainings were also touched.The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude to the UNODC office in Turkmenistan for active and productive cooperation and interest in strengthening further interaction.
