On Wednesday, November 11, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Portugal Global Trade & Investment Agency (AICEP) held an online meeting.The business event was organized with the support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in France, the head of which also represents the interests of the country in the westernmost state of continental Europe, located on the Iberian Peninsula.
At the meeting, the Turkmen delegation was led by Dovletgeldi Rejepov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, while Luis Castro Henriques, Chairman and CEO of the AICEP led the Portuguese side.
Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Construction, Ministry of Textile Industry, State Association “Turkmencarpet”, Agency “Turkmen Sea and River Routes” and Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan also took part in the discussion of the establishment and development of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
The delegations made presentations of the economic and investment opportunities of their countries, exchanged views on ways and forms of interaction. Areas such as industry and construction, agriculture, textile industry and transport and logistics were mentioned as the main and promising areas of cooperation, the embassy says.
