President of Turkmenistan invited to New Delhi for the first "India-Central Asia" summit

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has been invited to the first India-Central Asia summit to be held on January 26, 2022 in New Delhi as part of the Republic Day celebration. The corresponding invitation came from the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, the newscast "Vatan" of the Turkmen television reported today.

According to Modi, the upcoming summit, which will discuss "a comprehensive approach to common threats in the region," "will bring interstate relations to a new level."

The India-Central Asia dialogue format was established in 2019 during the first meeting of foreign ministers in Tashkent, and during this time it has made it possible to significantly intensify bilateral and multilateral interaction.
