Foreign sportsmen, who will take part in the international competitions in the territory of Turkmenistan in 2021, will have an opportunity to make a free inoculation for infections, including for coronavirus.
President Berdimuhamedov was reported on it during his trip to the Olympic town in Ashkhabad by Minister of Health and Medical Industry Nurmuhammet Amannepesov, informs State News Agency TDH.
The head of the state charged that athletes should have a possibility to inoculate not only Sputnik V vaccine which has been first officially registered by the country, but also vaccines from other manufacturers. Berdimuhamedov noted importance of continuation of negotiations with the foreign states concerning manufacture and purchase of other preparations for COVID-19.
This year the Turkmen capital will accept two prestigious international competitions. It is the World Track Cycling Championships and qualification matches of the Davis Cup international tennis tournament. It is expected that the bicycle track world championship sportsmen from 40 countries which will compete in ten nominations for men, and ten for women, will take part.
On January 18, Turkmenistan was the first in Central Asia to have officially registered Sputnik V vaccine. To the country the first batch of the preparation was delivered and it was broadcast by the news program “Vatan” of Turkmen state television.
The given vaccine is approved to application in ten countries. According to the Russian Fund for Direct Investments which finances preparation’s manufacture, Sputnik V vaccine has been received already by more than 1,5 million persons.
