The International Forum “Muhammad Bayram Khan Turkmen and the Traditions of Humanism, Patriotism and Courage of the Turkmen People” was held today in Ashgabat.

The great son of the Turkmen people, Bayram Khan, who was an equally successful military and statesman, said that the art of winning is nothing compared to the art of living in peace and harmony.

And like any art, it requires long-term “nurturance”, study, hard work, renunciation of outdated stereotypes of thinking and acting, the release of transformative, creative energy.

This idea became the concept of the forum organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan in an online and offline format. Its plenary session was held at the country’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and high-level foreign participants made presentations via video link.

In total, 130 Turkmen scientists and more than 70 foreign speakers from India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, the Russian Federation, Belarus, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Italy, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Great Britain, and others took part.

Turkmenistan, speaking in support of universal peace, stability and security, the development of friendly, fraternal and good-neighborly relations, is based on the humanistic ideals and moral traditions of the people, its historical experience, where a special role belongs to such outstanding figures as Bayram Khan, the speakers noted.

The forum continued its work in 4 sections. One of them was devoted to the influence of the achievements of medieval culture, science, literature and art on the spiritual and cultural development of mankind.

The other one is the culture of peace and trust promoted by Turkmenistan in international relations.Other breakout sessions discussed the literary heritage of Bayram Khan and the relations of the Turkmen and Indian peoples in their historical retrospect from the remote past to the future.

The outstanding statesman and commander, thinker and talented writer of the East Bayram Khan Turkmen and his son the chief vizier of the Great Mughal Empire, a skilled military commander and a brilliant poet-translator Abdurahim Khan wrote glorious pages in the history of India, where their heritage is still treated with great respect and reverence.
