The first container train from Kazakhstan to Iran passed through Turkmenistan

The first cargo train on the route from Kazakh Pavlodar city to Teheran passed in transit through Turkmenistan. Demonstration train with 48 containers, loaded with sulphur, moved through the territory of Turkmenistan for several days.

The railroad train from the capital city of Iran went to Türkiye today. Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Ibrahim Raisi took part in the online ceremony of the starting-up of the pilot container train. It was reported by the Kazakh mass media.

It is noted that the new logistics solution is attractive for consignees, foremost, because of the delivery time. In comparison with the alternative route through the Caspian Sea, the train will cover the distance of more than 6300 km total in 12 days.
