The President of Kazakhstan Kassym Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the VI Caspian Summit.
As reported in the press center of the summit, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met the distinguished guest at the International Airport of the Turkmen capital.
The leaders of Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkmenistan will participate in the summit in Ashgabat, scheduled on the second half of the day.
It is expected that as a result of the meeting the heads of states will adopt a communique where coordinated positions of the Caspian “Five” on the further cooperation development will be stated.
Earlier, Presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran Ilham Aliyev and Seyyid Ebrahim Raisi arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the summit.
