Trades in Turkmen Commodity Exchange: Polyethylene, Diesel Fraction, Terry Products

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) registered eight deals during Thursday and Tuesday trades. The trades were not held on Wednesday due to the public holiday the State Flag and Constitution Day.

On Thursday, the Turkmen businesses purchased for the domestic market 5.2 thousand tons of high-density polyethylene T60-475-110 for 96.2 million manats (18 thousand manats per ton). They also bought hand-made carpets for 35.8 thousand manats, the SCRMET announced on Friday.

During the Tuesday trades, the Afghan and Uzbek companies purchased 4 thousand tons of desulfurized diesel fraction for $3.2 million ($812.75 per ton). The businesses from the UAE concluded deals for the purchase of dyed terry products for $302.5 thousand ($5.50 per kg).

The same day, the Turkmen private sector bought for the domestic market 70 tons of HDPE T60-475-119 for 1.2 million manats (18 thousand manats per ton).

Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded $29.2 million.
