Turkmenistan invites Chinese partners to establish direct contacts between commercial and government structures of the two countries and use the opportunities of small business in the development of a full-scale trade and economic dialogue.
This was discussed on Tuesday, May 11, at a meeting of the co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Chinese Committee for Cooperation Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Han Zheng.
China is a major trade partner of Turkmenistan, said Serdar Berdimuhamedov, reaffirming its readiness to maintain close ties at a high level, the website of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
Gas cooperation is a key area of bilateral relations, while the parties are mutually interested in developing other areas: transport, communications and telecommunications, IT, financial and banking system, as well as healthcare and medicine.
