Turkmenistan Determines Administrative Fines For Knowingly False Advertising

Article 3121 on knowingly false advertising has been added to the Code of Administrative Offences of Turkmenistan. The article determines fines for individuals, officials and legal entities for carrying out knowingly false advertising.

The article was added in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan on Additions and Amendments to Some Legislative Acts of Turkmenistan, signed by the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on November 20 this year. The law was published in official Turkmen press on Monday and will enter into force on January 1, 2023.

In accordance with the new article, the use of knowingly false advertising of goods, works or services, as well as their manufacturers (performers, sellers) for mercenary purposes with the infliction of significant damage, entails the imposition of the following fines:

The current size of the base value for fines in Turkmenistan is 100 manats.
