Turkmenistan exports 2 billion kWh of electricity to Kyrgyzstan in 2023

From October 12 to 14, a delegation from Kyrgyzstan will visit Turkmenistan to sign an agreement on the supply of electricity in the amount of 2 billion kWh in 2023. About this stated acting Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Taailaibek Ibraev at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh reports, tazabek.

The import of Turkmen electricity will be made in transit through Uzbekistan. At the moment, an agreement on this has been prepared between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

Besides that, 600 million kWh will be imported from Kazakhstan next year, Ibrayev noted. Thus, in 2023, Kyrgyzstan will import 2,6 billion kWh of electricity.
