Turkmen delegation chaired by Deputy Minister of Education Aknabat Atabayeva participates in the work of the 40th session of the UNESCO General Conference.The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and the UNESCO Secretary General Audrey Azoulay made speech at the opening ceremony of the Forum.
High-level meeting as well as different events dedicated to current directions of development of education, culture and science took place under the Conference, which would continue its work until November 27.
Debates with participation of the Heads of the states and governments of 16 countries, during which ecological problems and issues of multilateralism have been discussed, were held on the first day of the Forum.
Turkmen delegation to have number of meetings with the UNESCO officials as well as with the directors of some French universities.
