Turkmenistan took part in the forum on creation of FEZ for small and middle businesses in the CIS

Representatives of Turkmenistan took part in online conference on creation and functioning of free economic zones (FEZ) for CIS” small and middle businesses.

The Forum was organized by the Council of Heads of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Commonwealth of Independent States and was chaired by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.

The advantages of creating free economic zones, as well as the issues of attracting non-state funds for the development of the infrastructure of the FEZ were discussed.

A free economic zone is a territory with special legal status which is often expressed in preferential tax and customs conditions for national and foreign entrepreneurs. The main aim of FEZ creation is the solution of problems of social and economic development of the state, regions or industries.

FEZ can be of different types and sizes and become in general perspective, although complex form of regional management and foreign economic activity. The creation of the FEZ requires a strict approach, a lot of preparatory work, the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports.
