Turkmenistan took part in the meeting of the Interstate Council for Natural and Technogenic Emergencies

Representatives of Turkmenistan took part in the 34th meeting of the Interstate Council for Natural and Technogenic Emergencies.

The meeting was attended by members of the Council, representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee.

As reports the website of the CIS Executive Committee, the participants summed up the work of the Council for the period 2021-2022 and discussed measures to improve cooperation.

Also were considered: the schedule of control checks of mutual notification of the CIS states about natural and man-made emergencies; draft Plan of the main events of the Interstate Council for 2023; progress in implementing Council decisions.

In addition, the members of the Council heard information about the activities of two basic organizations - in the field of science and high technology to protect the population and territories from emergency situations and to train personnel in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations.

During the meeting, the chairman of the Interstate Council was elected. The first deputy minister for emergency situations of Azerbaijan, Rafail Khalid oglu Mirzoyev, became the first deputy minister.
