UIET Announces Winners of Competition Among Ashgabat’s Shopping Centers, Stores

On occasion of the 140th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s capital of Ashgabat, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) held a competition for the best level of service among shopping centers and shops in the Turkmen capital.

A jury evaluated the contestants in three nominations: the best in the category of shopping and entertainment centers, the best supermarket selling mixed categories of goods and the best specialized store, the UIET reported on Monday.

According to the results of the competition, Berkarar Shopping and Entertainment Center became the best in the category of shopping and entertainment centers. The second place in the category went to Gül Zemin Shopping and Entertainment Center, which opened in November last year.

In the category among supermarkets selling mixed product categories, Kämil came out on top. Halk Market was awarded the second place in the nomination.

Among the specialized stores, the first place went to Ak Gaýa store selling construction and household products, located along G. Kuliyev Street.

Established in 2008, the UIET is a public organization, which aims to support small and medium-sized businesses in Turkmenistan, to promote the development of the private sector of the national economy and the formation of a modern enterprise infrastructure.
