USAID Announces New Youth Development Program in Turkmenistan

September 07, 2021, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan On September 3, the U.S.Agency for International Development (USAID) announced a new activity for youth development in Turkmenistan.The five-year, USAID Youth Development activity, will be implemented by the QED Group and will leverage past and current USAID interventions to connect Turkmenstani youth with employment opportunities and create sustainable linkages between the youth and the labor market.

The new activity will engage with the youth to identify their needs and build partnerships with the private sector to generate better qualified Turkmenstani youth that respond to the needs of the domestic economy. The activity will focus on eliminating the skills gap between what employers need and current skills in the labor market.
