Uzbekistan will cancel the mandatory mask regime from March 1

The mandatory wearing of masks in public places in Uzbekistan will cancel from March 1. This was reported by the “Gazeta.uz” website, with reference to a meeting of the Special commission to combat coronavirus.

At the same time, recommendations will remain to wear masks in public transport, shopping centers, mosques, cinemas and markets.

It is noted, that in case of deterioration of the epidemiological situation, the restrictions can be returned by the decision of the special commission.

The only exceptions are employees of medical institutions, for doctors the requirement to wear masks remains regardless of whether they work with patients infected with coronavirus or not.
