Saparmyrat Ovganov has been elected chairman of the Central Council of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan during the second congress of the party in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan State News Agency reported.
Ovganov is director general of the local business entity “Khalys”.
The Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan was established in 2012.
“The party members actively contribute to the implementation of large-scale reforms, development of the sphere of small and medium-sized enterprises,” said the report. “The party participated in the presidential election and is represented in the Turkmen Parliament.”
