Turkmen businessmen build big mosque in Ashgabat (PHOTO)

The "Hezreti Omar" mosque was opened in the residential area Parakhat-7 (Mir-7) in Turkmenistan’s Ashgabat city, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan said in a message.

According to the message, the mosque was constructed through charitable donations from the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The project was implemented by "Aga gurlusyk" local company. The total area is 5.46 hectares.

The "Hezreti Omar" mosque reflects the traditional elements of national architecture. The main parameters of four minarets, central and small domes are symbolic, the height of which is 63, 40 and 23 meters. Each of these numbers is associated with the name of Prophet Muhammad.
