A private food safety laboratory, a part of the Turkmen Hil Standart company, has received international accreditation, Trend reports referring to the Turkmen Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (UIET) on Jan. 22.
The certificate according to the ISO/IEC17025:2017 international standard was given by Latvian National Accreditation Bureau State Agency after an independent examination.
This first private laboratory was created at the initiative of UIET. Analysis of food products in accordance with state and international standards and increasing export potential of local food industry are among the main tasks of the laboratory.
Obtaining international accreditation will allow increasing the volume of exports of domestic food products and, in general, will contribute to further development of the Turkmen economic potential, the report said.
