Turkmenistan has established a state commission for holding population and housing censuses.
The relevant decree was signed by Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The document has approved the state commission’s composition. Censuses will be held under the resolution of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the “2020 World Population and Housing Census Programme”, adopted on June 10, 2015.
These censuses are the basis for taking measures in social and economic sphere and should be taken into account in budget planning.
