Turkmenistan takes measures to increase productivity of fuel, energy complex

Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept 4

All sectors of the domestic fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan, in which huge investments are made, should increase their productivity, Trend reports citing Turkmen media.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov announced this during a working meeting held on Monday with the participation of leaders of the oil and gas complex and the governor of Ashgabat.

The meeting examined the preparations for the celebration of Independence Day, as well as a number of other issues.

Stressing the importance of creating multi-vector export routes for Turkmen energy resources to the world market, increasing the pace of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project, Berdimuhamedov drew attention to the fact that work in this direction should be carried out on an integrated basis.

The head of state pointed out that all the sectors of fuel and energy complex, using the opportunities created, should increase their productivity.

Addressing Deputy Prime Minister Myratgeldi Meredov and Director General of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries Batyr Amanov, the president emphasized the need for a scientific approach to the issues of increasing the volume of oil refining products, the active introduction of digital technologies in the oil and gas complex and increasing its export opportunities, by giving a number of instructions in this regard.
