In 2023, in the Amudarya State Nature Reserve, according to the National Forest Program, up to 14 thousand tree seedlings were planted, of which 10 thousand were saxaul. This was reported by Jeyhun.news.
The care of seedlings is also organized here, as a result of which the vegetation of the reserve becomes richer.
Seedlings of desert plants are grown in the reserve's nurseries by experienced specialists. In this area, experience is regularly exchanged with employees of other reserves and forestry enterprises.
In the new year, preparations for planting seedlings of desert plants are also being organized in the reserve.
The Amudarya State Nature Reserve is located in the north-eastern part of the Lebap velayat of Turkmenistan on an area of forty-eight thousand hectares.Here are presented different complexes of ecosystems in terms of landscape and composition of biodiversity: the water area of the Amu Darya River, the tugai forest along the banks of the river and the Kyzylkum desert.
