11.03.2020 | Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan accept joint documents on cooperation

The ceremony of signing bilateral documents was held on the outcomes of the top-level talks.To the applause of those present, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Ilham Aliyev signed the Joint Communique.

The Agreement on cooperation in the field of migration; the Agreement on the mutual allocation of land for the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan; the Protocol on amendments and additions to the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on international motor service dated May 19, 2008 were signed at the intergovernmental level.

The following documents are aimed at enhancing partnership in the transport and communications sector: the Memorandum on cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies between the “Türkmenaragatnaşyk” Agency of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the Memorandum of Understanding on the construction, ownership and operation of fiber optic communication lines along the bottom of the Caspian Sea along the route Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan by the “Türkmentelekom” telecommunication company and communications service providers of the “Azertelecom” Limited Liability Company; the Protocol between the “Türkmenhowaýollary” Agency of Turkmenistan and the State Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Protocol on cooperation on the protection and study of the biological diversity of the Caspian Sea signed between the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan strengthens the commitment to partnership in the field of conservation of biodiversity of the Caspian Sea.

The Agreement on Cooperation between Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences; the Agreement on cooperation between the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography and the Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting Closed Joint-Stock Company; the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Library of the State Cultural Center of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the National Library of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the field of librarianship; the Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Control Systems of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences; the Protocol on cooperation between the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly and Baku State University are aimed at developing the dialogue in the humanitarian sphere.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the management and privatization of state property; the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the field of the state registration of titles to real property; the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan on cooperation on land cadaster; the Memorandum of Understanding between the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises Development Agency of Azerbaijan; the Memorandum of Understanding between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) are aimed at expanding partnerships in the field of property relations and entrepreneurship development.
