President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Secretary of State, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russian Federation Grigory Karasin who arrived in Ashgabat.Having expressed sincere gratitude for spared time, the guest conveyed warm greetings from President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev who have addressed the best wishes to Turkmen people.
At the same time, invariable interest of Russian side in further consolidation and expansion of traditionally friendly interstate dialog in all the spectrum has been confirmed.Having expressed the gratitude for warm words, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov returned the greeting to the leaders of Russia, having highlighted strategic character of Turkmen - Russian dialog meeting the goals of the prosperity of the nations of both countries.
The Head of the State noted that Turkmenistan and Russia are connected by old fruitful cooperation that has considerable potential and is built on equal long-term basis.Further in the meeting, having stated with delight steady dynamics of interstate relations, the President of Turkmenistan and his guest exchanged the opinions on priority directions of bilateral cooperation under the agreements reached on high-level previously.
At the same time, the efficiency of Turkmen Russian talks held during recent official visit of the President of Russian Federation to our country was highlighted.It was mentioned that number of documents improving regulatory and legal base of cooperation has been signed by the outcomes of the meeting in Ashgabat.
Together with trade and economic relations, new impulse was given to traditional contacts in humanitarian sphere including in education and science.Fruitful collaboration in this sphere has been always laying an important role and now, serves as reliable bridge of friendship, understanding and trust between the nations of both countries.
High level is invariably inherent to interstate political and diplomatic relations.Bilateral consultations of foreign ministries level take place regularly and systematically.While being committed to constructive consolidation of efforts under competent international organizations like the UN, OSCE, CIS and others, Turkmenistan and Russian Federation demonstrate the similarity and coincidence of the positions on topical issues of regional and global agenda, first of all, on those related to provision of universal peace, security and sustainable development, counteraction against challenges and threats of today.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his guest confirmed mutual intent of the sides on activation and intensification of the partnership and bringing of productive cooperation to new levels.In this relation, the perceptivity of cooperation between Turkmenistan and largest territorial divisions of Russian Federation, where big positive experience of joint work was acquire for the last several years, has been mentioned.
In the end of the meeting, the guest expressed deep gratitude to the Head of the State for detailed circumstantial conversation and for the attention that Turkmen leader always pays to the matters of bilateral relations.
