20.03.2019 | Greenhouse and Confectionery Plant Officially Open in Mary Velayat

Built by Nahal and Kerwen Gurluşyk Economic Associations in the city of Mary, a modern 6-hectare greenhouse has a projected annual production capacity of 1,200 tons.Tooled with the latest specialized equipment, the large area is home to high-yielding varieties of tomato.

The greenhouse takes advantage of up-to-date technologies used to automatically control temperature, air humidity and to supply the soil with nutrients.Every single tomato plant is expected to produce some 10-12 kilograms of tomatoes.

The new greenhouse will keep the region’s residents well-supplied with ecologically clean crops rich in vitamins.When operating at maximum capacity, the facility will enable to export produce to foreign countries under the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov-initiated state programs aimed at import substitution and growth in exports of Turkmenistan-made products.

That same day, a confectionery-producing plant of Täze Aý Önümleri Economic Association (a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs) officially opened at the 9th kilometer of the Mary-Ashgabat highway.

The 3.5-hectare area is home to an administrative building, confectionery plant, and storage facilities for raw materials and products.The enterprise is tooled with modern high-tech equipment.

The plant has a daily capacity of 92 tons of confectionery with 63 types of cakes, biscuits, chocolates and wafers.It will have 250-plus employees.When the enterprise starts working at full capacity, its products will be exported to foreign countries.
