22.06.2018 | The progress of implementation of the Presidential programme considered during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to consider the progress of the implementation of the Presidential programme and other social and economic programmes as well as to discuss some issues of the internal policy of the state.

The floor was given to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers G.Myradov, who reported on the current situation in the sphere under his supervision and the measures taken to increase competiveness of the national economy, to efficiently use the state budget funds and strengthen the private sector role Commenting on the report, the Turkmen leader focused on the importance to maintenance the paces of growth in all branches of the national economy and keep the financial and economic status of the ministries and departments under control.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M.Meredov reported on the Turkmengaz State Concern plans to participate the upcoming international oil and gas exhibition and conference "ADIPEC-2018" that will be held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates - the city of Abu Dhabi on November 12-15 this year.

Commenting on the report, the Turkmen leader noted that the energy policy of Turkmenistan was aimed at the comprehensive development of the domestic fuel and energy complex, its diversification and dynamic integration into the global energy system.

This strategy envisages the intensification of cooperation with other states and business circles of the world that our country builds on the principles of goodwill and mutual benefit.President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the Vice Premier to organize a large-scale national exposition at this representative exhibition, to demonstrate the achievements and industrial potential of the domestic fuel and energy sector, to familiarize the world business representatives with the large energy projects implemented in our country, including the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E.Orazgeldiev reported on the progress in implementing the seasonal agricultural campaigns in the regions.Commenting on the report, the President of Turkmenistan addressed a number of specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister.

The Turkmen leader instructed the relevant officials to pay maximum attention to the effective use of water resources in the country, to widely apply the advanced technologies of the sufficient water management and scientifically grounded methods of irrigation in the agrarian and industrial complex.

Reported on the current situation in the spheres under his supervision, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers K.Durdymyradov reported on the ongoing work to modernize the textile industry enterprises.

The President of Turkmenistan underlined the paramount importance of innovative development of the textile industry in the framework of the complex industrialization of the country.Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers D.

Amangeldiev reported on the current situation in the spheres under his supervision and the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions, including the further development of the energy infrastructure.

The Turkmen leader underlined that the ambitious projects were implemented in the country to modernize electric power industry of Turkmenistan.Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M.

Chakyev, who is in charge for the transport sector, reported on the ongoing work to further improve the work of the enterprises under his supervision Given the growing traffic intensity in Ashgabat, the Turkmen leader gave a number of specific instructions on further improvement of the quality and culture of services offered to passengers.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ch.Gylyjov reported on the work carried out by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on the construction of houses and other social and cultural facilities in Ashgabat and the Avaza National tourism zone.

It was reported that in accordance with the projects, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs carries out the preparatory work for the construction of a complex of facilities in Ashgabat residential complex Gutyly and three cottage complexes on the Caspian Sea coast.

The Vice Premier also reported on the progress of the construction of an aqua park with the recreation center in Avaza.Having heard the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the most serious and responsible approach to the construction of social facilities.

The Turkmen leader noted that in the framework of the preparation and implementation of such projects, the concern for creating the most favorable conditions for people stood as the priority vector of state policy.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Abdyeva submitted the draft Resolution "On Conduction of the Week of Culture in Balkan Velayat" to the President of Turkmenistan for consideration and also reported on the opening of the Week of Culture in Ahal Velayat.

According to the document, the next Week of Culture will be held in Balkan Velayat on June 22-27, 2019.Having signed the document, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined the importance of the annual creative action and instructed the relevant officials to ensure the high organizational level of the events in framework of the current Week of Culture.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers P.Agamyradov reported on the preparation for the school cultural and sports festival of the Caspian states holding in the Avaza National tourism zone.

Commenting on the report, the President emphasized the necessity to ensure that the festival, which will unite the representatives of the younger generation of the Caspian states on hospitable Turkmen land, becomes a bright and unforgettable event for all its participants.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R.Meredov reported on preparations for the Summit of the Heads of the founder states of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, which is planned to be held in Turkmenistan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly with the other state institutions of the country developed a draft agenda for the upcoming Summit, and draft the documents to be signed on the oucomes of the Summit.

Instructing the relevant officials to ensure the high organizational level of the Summit, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that concrete and important decisions aimed at improving the activities of the Fund and enhancing its positive role in modern global processes would be adopted during the meeting.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also reported on drafting the National action plan to exercise children’s rights in Turkmenistan in 2018-2022.Approving the project and signing the relevant Resolution, President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to ensure the implementation of the Plan, as well as to continue the work on the further development of fruitful cooperation with foreign partners, primarily with the leading UN agencies.

Then, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs reported on the preparations of the national team of Turkmenistan to participate in the XXXII Summer Olympic Games, which will be held in Tokyo (Japan) in 2020.

In order to prepare the national teams of Turkmenistan for the XXXII Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, the Turkmen leader signed the Resolution on the establishment of the organizing committee, including the heads of the relevant ministries, core departments and other agencies, to ensure the effective and coordinated work in this regard.

Chairperson of the Mejlis G.Mammadova reported on the work carried out by the parliament on the further improvement of the legislative and legal basis of the state, explaining the innovations in legislation to the population.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the systematic work of the Mejlis to ensure the progress of the country along the path of the social and economic reforms, using the positive international experience in lawmaking work.

Focusing on the preparations for the first meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, the President emphasized the need to carefully study all the organizational issues, agenda and documents to be submitted for consideration of the meeting participants.

Other important issues were considered and the relevant decisions were taken during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
