On January 26, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has made working trip around the capital, having inspected the construction of the Garagum hotel with multi-profile business center and park located nearby as well as Ashgabat Turkmenabat highway.
Some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Minister, heads of Ashgabat Administration, some ministries and profile departments have met the head of the state at the facilities, which are built in the northern part of the capital.
Inspecting the construction of park and underpasses, the President of Turkmenistan has noted the importance of single location of shopping and entertainment center, park and Garahum Hotel and expressed his hope that new modern park would a favorite place of adults and children for rest and walk.
Further, general plans and drawings of Garagum hotel with multi-functional business center and park as well as projects of shopping and entertainment center and underpasses, which are built along A. Niyazov and Hoja Ahmet Yasav streets have been presented to the Head of the State
Head of the capital’s administration Ya. Gylyjov has reported on the project of park, which was developed according to the last trends in this sphere.
Total area of parking zone is 9.75 hectares, the length is 320 meters and the width is 310 meters. It will have 9 fountains, where one is big in the center and 8 small fountains. In addition, it is planned to build 3 swimming pools.
Four underpasses are designated to provide safety of pedestrians. The length of each underpass is 25.1 meters, width 8.1 meters and height 4.8 meters. The length of the road is 704 meters and width is 18 meters.
Having listened to the report, head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has made remarks regarding to the projects and made necessary corrections.New park zone, which is stretched until International airport of the capital, will be a comfortable recreation place for the residents of surrounding district.
The leader of the nation has noted that measures undertaken in this direction are aimed at the formation of favorable ecological environment, which makes positive effect on the health of the population.
Further, drawings of underpass have been presented to the Head of Turkmenistan. After studying the drawings, the President of the country has also made relative corrections and his proposals.
The leader of the nation has focused on the necessity to make all necessary conditions for the residents of the city, foreign guests and tourists would be able to spend their time with maximum efficiency. The head of the city administration has received an instruction to plant coniferous trees and build fountains in this place.
Speaking of importance of quality works and achievement of focused expression of national colors in decoration, head of the state Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has highlighted the selection of modern and consonant name to the park, having suggested to call it “Laçyn”.
This name is very good taking into account that the shape of International Airport of the capital is represented by the image of falcon flapping its wings.
Further, Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs D. Hudayberdiyev has reported on the project of shopping and entertainment center, which is under construction in this place.
Total size of the construction site of shopping and entertainment center is 8.92 hectares where the area occupied by the facilities is 28,331.60 square meters and the area of surrounding territory is 60,888.40 square meters.
The height of the building is 40 meters.The area of multilevel car parking is equal to 54,381.67 square meters.
Having listened to the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has requested to provide the compliance with all international standards and high quality of construction works during erection of the shopping and entertainment center, in interior and exterior design of which national colors have to be present, and to provide all conditions for customers and visitors.
After, the leader of the nation went to construction site of Garagum Hotel with multifunctional business center. It is planned to be commissioned on the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence.
The project provides 87 comfortable rooms including standard, suite, lux and super lux rooms in the 9-storey building of the hotel, which occupies 6.9 hectares.In addition, restaurants, banquet hall, swimming pools, fitness gym, tennis court and other amenities are at the service of the guests.
The business center will have all proper conditions for organization of business meetings.
It is remarkable that one of unique natural attractions of Turkmenistan magnificent Karakum Desert with it unique landscapes, is reflected in architecture and design of the hotel complex, which is located next to the capital’s International Airport.
Soft contours of the central part of the building and two side wings remind of sand dunes. Traditional tent, which has been merged organically to architectural ensemble, would highlight national colors.
Having inspected the situation at the facility, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that Garagum Hotel has to meet international standards and requirements for similar facilities by all criteria including provision and high-class service.
The Karakum Hotel, which design and color gamma, including golden color of windows, match the name of the hotel and is to become a visual symbol of triumph of primordial traditions of hospitality, which Turkmen nation is famous for.
The leader of the nation noted that it is necessary to make special cultural program for tourists and foreign guests who come to our country, which would include familiarization tours around the attractions of the capital.
Peaceful and constructive foreign course of neutral Turkmenistan, its geographic location on strategic intersection of transcontinental routes support to strengthening of authority of the Motherland as a recognized center of regional and international cooperation.
In modern age, our country makes creative initiatives in various spheres, take an active part in restoration of the Silk Road, which important part used to cross Turkmen land centuries ago.
All of these provides permanent growth of number of foreign guests, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said, having highlighted that the best world practice and advanced developments have to be introduced to hotel business for efficient realization of available capabilities.
Further, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh. Durdliliyev has reported on works carried out at the construction site. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has inspected the projects of the hotel rooms.

The President of the country highlighted that it is necessary to provide all conditions for organization of international high-level forums and other events in the hotel. Green zones and fountains around the complex have to demonstrate close attention that is paid in Turkmenistan to ecological aspects, the leader of the nation said.
The services provided in the hotel, same like in all other hotels of the country, have to be on high level, to meet primordial hospitality traditions of our people, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted, having addressed relative officials with certain assignments.
Continuing working trip around Ashgabat, the leader of the nation went to Ashgabat Turkmenabat highway, which project design and construction have been given to Türkmen Awtoban Closed Joint Stock Venture, the member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
Modernization and development of transport and communication infrastructure are priority directions of the transformations expanded in Ashgabat and all around the country. The head of the state has requested relative officials to hold all issues related to reconstruction of existing and building of new roads, development public bus stops, over- and underpasses under control.
Opening of this major 600-km road will significantly increase throughput capacity of the country, quality and efficiency of logistic services, will expand international transport and transit infrastructure and trade and economic relations with neighboring states located along the Silk Road.
According to the project, the highway is intended to increase the volumes of cargo traffic following across Turkmenistan.After connection with Ashgabat Turkmenbashy highway, the road, which connect the eastern part of the country with its center, will give direct access to cargo trailers to International Seaport in Turkmenbashy and further to Caucasus, toward Europe, to the south of Russia, the north of Iran, to Persian and Oman Gulfs by sea.
At the work order of Türkmen Awtoban Closed Joint Stock Venture, which is the main contractor of the project, the construction works of super modern highway with development of surrounding territory are carried out by Nusaýýollary and Hyzmat merkezi private companies and by Edermen and Altyn nesil business entities.
According to the Resolution of the Head of Turkmenistan, the project is to be implemented in three phases. The first part of the highway between Ashgabat and Tejen is planned to be opened this year, the second between Tejen and Mary in December 2022 and the third part between Mary and Turkmenabat in December 2023.
The highway will have three main lanes and additional lane on each side. The width of the road will be 34.5 meters. The highway will start from the intersection at the 24th kilometer of Ashgabat Dashoguz highway. Payment terminals, which will have an option of electronic payment, traffic police department, recreation facilities, will be located in this place.
It is also planned to build service stations for proper technical maintenance of the highway. The traffic will be controlled by automatic system, which collects, stores and transfer all data about traffic to traffic police using permanent video monitoring. Weather forecast including such data as humidity, visibility and other information will be broadcasted to the traffic department.
Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs D. Hudayberdiyev has informed to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov about works under I, II, III phases of construction of Ashgabat Turkmenbashy highway.
Drawings and plots illustrating the main directions of roads, sketches of big payment terminal and small payment outlets have been introduced to the leader of the nation. In addition, views of fuel station, shopping outlets, vehicle service zones, recreation grounds, intersections, bridges and other facilities have been demonstrated.
Having listened to the report, the head of the state made some changes in the project and requested to pays special attention to high quality of works and ecological requirements.
The drivers, who will use this road, which meet international standards, have to make payment by cards or chips through payment terminals, while the drives who arrive or transit the state from foreign countries have to pay in foreign currency, leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov requested.
Steadfast integration to the world transport system and further expansion of the infrastructure on the main routes and hubs in the East West and North South directions are among the main objectives outlined by the Head of the State for the near-term future.
The President of the country highlights that formation of important transport corridors in these directions is very important in the context of realization of the goals of restoration of the Silk Road and connection of economic poles of Eurasia.
It also provides the opportunity to connect to international transport system in southern and eastern directions with entry to China, India, Pakistan, countries of Asian Pacific and Middle East.
Foreign strategy of the leader of the nation is based on the vision of the Central Asian and Caspian regions as solid link of strategic stability in Eurasia space and Turkmenistan as a reliable partner for all interested countries and transport and transit hub of continental significance at the same time.
In this scenario, Ashgabat Turkmenabat highway is to be an important component of this multimodal logistic system.
During his trip, head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has listened to the reports of officials on work performed in this place.

In general, all of these is very important in regard with provision of transnational transport corridor.
Continuing, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has focused that development of entrepreneurship, increment of export volumes of national production, expansion of foreign economic affairs with all interested partners are priority vectors of national economy.
In this context, the leader of the nation has noted the necessity of activation of works for opening of modern production complexes making big variety of construction materials from local resources.
The Head of the State has requested Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Secretary of the State Security Council Ch. Amanov to provide all measures for coordinated and safe traffic and relative control by Traffic Police Department.
Continuing his way on the highway, the President of Turkmenistan has inspected the quality of protection barriers erected along the road.Having made special mention that all works expanded in the country are aimed at provision of high level of the nation, leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that it is reflected in the main slogan “The State for Human Being!”
Further, the Head of the State went to Choganly residential estate of the capital, where construction of 3- and 4-storey cottage is carried out. Looking around the construction of living houses, the leader of the nation highlighted that all necessary infrastructure has to be made in this place for the residents.
Continuing the conversation, the President of the country has noted that140 families would celebrate house warming party on occasion of the 140th anniversary of the capital, which would be observed on May 25 this year, on the Day of Ashgabat, as well as on occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.
