President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held working session dedicated to development of national cultural and art sphere and improvement of activity of mass media.During the session, the Head of the State has focused on special importance of objectives of this sphere including objectives for study of national cultural heritage, its wide popularization in the world and careful protection.
Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Abdiyeva reported on the situation in the structures under her supervision, work carried out by cultural sphere and mass media as well as on the events planned on occasion of the 25th anniversary of neutrality of the country.
The President highlighted special role of representatives of cultural sphere and mass media in highlighting of achievements of the country including in economy, implementation of social policy, which main objective is to improve life level of the population as well as to study and popularize rich spiritual and cultural heritage of Turkmen nation.
The Head of the State noted that highlighting of success of social and economic development of the country as well as national values, which are integral part of the world treasury, on TV channels are the main time requirements.
Speaking of this, the President of Turkmenistan has criticized work of TV channels, which do not highlight events that demonstrating the spirit of modern age and achievements of the country in the last years sufficiently and regularly.
In particular, having noted that TV and radio channel Miras has not enough interesting broadcasts about cultural heritage of Turkmen nation, which made deserved contribution to development of civilization, the Head of Turkmenistan stated that personnel of the media approach set objectives incompetently.
In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan released G.Bayramdurdiyev from the post of the Director of Miras TV and Radion Channel of the State Committee for TV, RADIO Broadcasting and Cinematography as failing to fulfil his duties and appointed G.
Chariyeva to this position.Having wished her success in work, Turkmen leader noted that informative programmes about high moral principles of Turkmen nation, family values, education of growing generation have to be broadcasted by Miras TV and Radio channel.
The President said that our nation has always paid special attention to education of children.At the same time, bringing up a child on example of honest work, supporting selection of profession, which would match their interests and abilities, has always been the main principle.
This current subject has to be under permanent attention of Miras TV and Radio channel.Addressing Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Abdiyeva as well as his press secretary, the President of Turkmenistan has requested to activate measures for improvement of professional level of cultural and art, newspaper, magazine, TV and radio channel personnel.
Spiritual heritage of our nation, its history, folklore have to be popularized on modern approach.It is necessary to involve methods of multimedia journalism and digital technologies in this work, - the Head of the State continued.
Having highlighted importance of introduction of cultural heritage off Turkmen people to international audience, the Head of the State noted that development of cooperation in this direction, exchange of practice with profile structures of other countries open perspectives for development of tourism together with enhancement of activity of mass media.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov continued that outstanding art samples of our nation, including historical and architectural monuments of Kunyaurgench, Nisa and Merv, Gyorogly epoch, national kushtdepdy sing and dance art, Turkmen carpet, which are in the UNESCO World Heritage List, were recognized on international level.
These directions and harmonic development of the country, improvement of life level of the nation have to be regularly highlighted, having become important objectives for personnel of cultural sphere and mass media, the Head of the State said, having addressed specific assignments to relative leaders.
The President has also given assignments for comprehensive support and provision of high organizational level of cultural events planned in the context of 2020 slogan “Turkmenistan Home of Prosperity” and celebrations on occasion of the 25th anniversary of foreign political status of the country.
