The opening ceremony of a complex of road and transport infrastructure facilities, including a road tunnel, underground passages and the Mahabat monument, located at the intersection of the central city highways - S. Turkmenbashi and A. Niyazov avenues, as well as the new hotel Diwan, took place in the Turkmen capital.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the celebrations dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of the country'.
In the morning, the President of Turkmenistan proceeded to the new complex of the road and transport network. The ceremony brought together Chairperson of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, public organizations, the Hyakim of Ashgabat, and journalists.
The President of Turkmenistan headed to the festive arch installed there on occasion of the significant event and, to the applause of the audience, cut the symbolic ribbon, opening the complex of infrastructure facilities.
According to the relevant Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the design and construction of the road tunnel and four underground pedestrian crossings, including the improvement of the adjacent territory and laying of supply engineering communications, were implemented by Turkmen entrepreneurs.
The new complex of road and transport infrastructure is located on 4.5-hectare territory. The total construction area was 44,340.95 square meters. The length of the underground highway is 350 meters.
Then the President of Turkmenistan walked to the new Diwan Hotel located on S. Turkmenbashi Avenue.
Addressing the ceremony participants and all citizens of Turkmenistan, the President emphasized that in December we would celebrate the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of our country. In this regard, this year has been proclaimed as the Year "Turkmenistan - Home of Neutrality".
On occasion of the glorious date, the Turkmen leader noted that a number of buildings and structures were built and put into operation in the country, including the Mahabat monument with a new modern automobile tunnel and underground pedestrian crossings at the intersection of S. Turkmenbashi and A. Niyazov avenues.
The new complex was built by a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs - the private enterprise "Nusaý ýollary".
The new hotel, named "Diwan", was built by one of the main partners of our country - the world famous company "Rönesans”.All conditions have been created in the new hotel for the reception of high-ranking guests and organization of various events.
Along with residential rooms, the hotel provides conference rooms, restaurants, shops, as well as swimming pools and sports grounds.
Sincerely congratulating all those present and the people of the country on the opening of new buildings, the President wished everyone good health, prosperous and happy life.
To the applause of the ceremony participants, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov cut the symbolic ribbon and entered the hotel complex to familiarize himself with its arrangement.The new hotel building houses 131 rooms, including standard, deluxe, junior suites and VIP.
There is also a restaurant and a banquet hall.Thus, the hotel provides all necessary conditions for a comfortable stay and cultural leisure of guests.
At the hotel, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Erman Ilicak, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish company Rönesans Holding.
Expressing his gratitude to the Turkmen leader for his personal participation in the opening ceremony of the Diwan Hotel, the businessman emphasized that his company was sincerely proud of the trust and highly interested in continuing the established fruitful cooperation with our country on a long-term basis.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that neutral Turkmenistan was always open for effective cooperation with foreign businessmen, including Turkish partners.
During the meeting, the prospects for further cooperation were discussed. The businessman also informed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov of the activities carried out by the company in Turkmenistan and the implementation of earlier instructions.
In this context, the President of Turkmenistan focused on the necessity to ensure the high quality of works and their completion on time. The businessman assured that the company would strictly follow the undertaking commitments.
The head of "Rönesans Holding" also congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the upcoming glorious date - the 25th anniversary of the neutrality of Turkmenistan, and addressed the wishes of well-being and prosperity to the Turkmen people. In memory of the event, the President of Turkmenistan left an entry in the Book of Honorary Guests.
Expressing gratitude to Chairman of the Board of "Rönesans Holding" Erman Ilydzhak for the work on the construction of a fashionable hotel in the Turkmen capital, the President of Turkmenistan presented the 12th volume of his encyclopedic scientific work "Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan" to the businessman.
Upon completion of the ceremony, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proceeded to the Oguzkhan Palace complex.
