30.01.2018 | The work done by the military and law enforcement agencies in January, 2018 considered at a meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who arrived in Balkan Velayat on a working visit, chaired a meeting of the State Security Council, during which the work done by the military and law enforcement agencies in January, 2018 and the tasks for the future were considered.

Announcing the meeting agenda, the President of Turkmenistan gave the floor to Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of National Security Ya.Berdiev, who reported on the current situation in the spheres under his supervision and the fulfilment of the Turkmen’s leader instructions on the further promotion of the military reform.

It was also reported on the measures taken to strengthen and modernize the material and technical base of the naval forces.President of Turkmenistan severely reprimanded Minister of National Security Ya.

Berdiev for the negligent performance of his duties and the serious shortcomings in his work.Minister of Internal Affairs I.Mulikov reported on the work done in the reporting period and the measures taken to maintain public order and prevent crimes, including road crimes, and ensure fire safety in the country.

The President of Turkmenistan underlined that the consolidation of legality and public order in the country was one of the main tasks set to the specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave a number of specific instructions to the Minister of Internal Affairs, in particular with regard to the strengthening of the material and technical base of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, enhancing the efficiency of work and increasing the responsibility of specialists of the agency and its structures.

The Head of the State Border Guard Service B.Gundogdyev reported on the scheduled measures taken since the beginning of 2018 in line with the reform on protecting the borders of the country.

Among the priority tasks, the Turkmen leader specified the further strengthening of the material and technical base of the border guards, construction of modern buildings of frontier posts and apartment houses for frontier guards.

Underlining the necessity to ensure the security of the land and sea borders of the country, and increase the level of the all-round training of frontier guards, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces gave a number of instructions to the Head of the State Border Guard Service.

Speaking during the meeting, Chairman of the Supreme Court G.Hallyev reported on the results of work in the reporting period and the measures taken to modernize the judicial service in the country.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the work of the judicial service should fully meet the high goals and objectives of the policy pursued by Turkmenistan, including the protection of the legitimate rights of every citizen.

Focusing on the responsibility of the judges for the decisions taken, the President gave a number of instructions to the Chairman of the Supreme Court.Prosecutor General B.

Atdaev reported on the current situation in the sphere under his supervision and the measures taken on the Turkmen leader’s instructions to increase the effectiveness of activities of public prosecutor’s offices to ensure the adherence to the rule of law in the country.

Commenting on the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted that the authorities of the prosecutor's office stood as the guarantor of the strict adherence to the rule of law in the country, they were provided with large powers to ensure the prosecutor's supervision over the execution of laws.

Then the floor was given to the Minister of National Security D.Bayramov, who reported on the results of work of the Ministry in the reporting period and the fulfilment of the Turkmen’s leader instructions.

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief underlined once again that demonstrating commitment to the constructive peace-loving policy, independent neutral Turkmenistan implements the defensive Military Doctrine aimed at ensuring peace in the country, the prosperous and creative life of the people.

The President noted that the specialists of the Ministry of National Security in coordinated interaction with other relevant structures should successfully solve the tasks set to them.Head of the State Service of Turkmenistan for Combating Economic Crimes M.

Chakyev reported on the results of work in the reporting period and the complex measures taken to combat corruption.President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that bribery and corruption were not allowed in our society and instructed the relevant officials to take all necessary measures to prevent such negative phenomena.

Chairman of the State Customs Service A.Osmanov reported on the work done by the State Customs Service in the reporting period and the fulfilment of the Turkmen’s leader instructions to improve the work of the customs and equip the State Customs Service with modern facilities.

The President of Turkmenistan emphasized the necessity of the systematic measures to improve the work of the customs service, provide modern equipment, as well as increase the professional level of the staff, and gave a number of specific to the Chairman of the State Customs Service.

Minister of Justice B.Muhammedov reported on the work done by the Ministry during the reporting period and the fulfilment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions to further modernize the legal framework of the country.

Commenting on the report, the President noted that the preparation of legally sound proposals for the further modernization of the national legislation ranked among the functions of the justice bodies.

Chairman of the State Migration Service M.Gurdov reported on the work done during the reporting period and the measures taken to fulfil the tasks set to the State Migration Service.

The Turkmen leader underlined the importance of raising the professional level of employees, their responsibility for their work, the active implementation of the advanced world experience and generally accepted international practices in this field.

Concluding the meeting, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces once again drew attention of those present to the importance of the close, coordinated work of all law enforcement agencies.

The tasks set before the military and law enforcement bodies demand the heads of the agencies to apply every effort and take the responsible approach to their work.The government takes care of servicemen and members of their families.

The complex measures are taken to create all necessary conditions for improving the social and living conditions of life, recreation, faithful service of the defenders of the Fatherland.The Turkmen leader said that the work in this direction would be continued, noting that the specialists of the military and law enforcement agencies of the country would always be under the wardship of the government.
