53 books about Japan were donated to the Turkmen university

Today in Ashgabat a festive ceremony of a book about Japan handover was held at the International University for the Humanities and Development.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Turkmenistan Hiroyuki Yamamoto presented 53 books to the Rector of the University Esen Aydogdyev.

The books are presented to the university as a part of the Read Japan Project, which the Nippon Foundation has been promoting since 2008.

Books about Japan written in English are given as a gift to universities and libraries around the world. This is a first action of donation in Turkmenistan.
