Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Romania Annamammet Annayev met with the Minister of Culture of Romania Raluca Turcan, with whom he discussed issues of organizing joint events in the field of culture.
This was reported in a press release from the Turkmen diplomatic mission.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of the current agreement on cultural cooperation between the two countries. The Romanian side expressed interest in participating in events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
Turkana outlined Romania’s desire to expand cultural exchange, including mutual visits of creative groups to the capitals of the two countries and establishing long-term partnerships with Turkmen museums.
The Turkmen side proposed holding Romanian Culture Days in Turkmenistan in 2025, as well as installing a bust of Magtymguly Fragi in Romania to deepen intercultural ties.
The interlocutors noted that cultural diplomacy is an integral part of the dynamically developing Turkmen-Romanian relations, laying the foundation for further strengthening cooperation in this area.
