On December 8-9, Ashgabat will host an international conference dedicated to cooperation between member countries of the Non-Aligned Movement on preparing for threats arising in public health and jointly combating them. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister for Science, Education, Health and Sports Nurmuhammet Amannepesov during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, TDH reports.
It was noted that large-scale work is being carried out in Turkmenistan aimed at developing the national healthcare system, interaction in this area with foreign countries and authoritative international and regional structures.
Organized preparations are currently underway for a special conference initiated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the participation of the medical and sanitary departments of the Non-Aligned Movement and in cooperation with the World Health Organization.

As the Deputy Prime Minister said, the forum delegates are expected to include over 60 representatives from almost 30 countries - practicing doctors, scientists, experts, and other representatives of the medical community.
After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to a productive partnership with the Non-Aligned Movement. In this context, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to prepare at a high level for a special conference of medical and sanitary departments of the member countries of this organization.
